La Huaca Beach

La Huaca Beach is located in the picturesque car-free area of Puerto de Tazacortes, Europe's sunniest town.

This is where all our holidaymakers feel most at home, those who like it warm and close to the beach and who prefer an ambience that is both liveliness as well as sufficient Peace and quiet & relaxation.

The private holiday home was carefully and tastefully renovated a few years ago and now offers an individual, cosy retreat for up to four holiday guests. With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on 2 separate floors the holiday home also enables many travel constellations:

From a couple who would like 2 separate bedrooms, to a family with an adult child (again with or without their own partner), to 2 couples who are friends or 2 girlfriends who would like to explore and enjoy the island of La Palma together on holiday....

Indoor area / premises:
Ground floor:
Bedroom no. 1 is located here, which as a completely independent studio also has its own mini-kitchen, living area and shower room. Practical, because as a 2nd bedroom plus its own entrance, it is very self-sufficient.

1st floor:
Accommodates the master bedroom with double bed (2 beds on request) and en suite shower room.

2nd floor:
The open-plan living room with high glass ceiling is located in the centre and is very attractive. It is not only the play of light that makes this a special room element. A wall projection creates the perfect space for the dining area with a large wooden table, where you can also work well if necessary.
And finally the kitchen at the rear end of the floor. Although it is narrow, it is well equipped, including a dishwasher. It is also bordered by a cute little balcony from which you can not only hear the sound of the sea, but also see it from the side.

There is air conditioning in the living room, but this is hardly ever needed as the Canarian construction means that the inside of the house is almost always at a pleasant temperature.
Otherwise, the interior of the holiday home appeals with great high-quality pieces of furniture from different parts of the globe as well as large & great murals with colourful motifs.

3rd floor:
From here you have a fantastic view of the Caldera de Taburiente, the mountain massif in the centre of the island. There are two sun loungers, an outdoor shower and a dining table for four people on the terrace. A small outdoor kitchen with an electric barbecue invites you to cook, eat and maximise your time in La Palma's open air.

The houses in Tazacorte are all quite narrow, but 2 - 3 storeys high. La Huaca Beach is also connected by narrow, relatively steep stone steps, which is why it is unfortunately not rented out to families with children under the age of 12 and is also unsuitable for people with reduced mobility (walking difficulties, wheelchairs).

Protected by the walls of the Angustias Gorge, Puerto de Tazacorte is not only the warmest and sunniest place on the island, but statistically also in the whole of Europe.

Its wide, gently sloping sandy beach, which is also ideal for swimming with children, is very popular.

Most of the year, bathing weather is guaranteed here, so you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea after the day's excursions or hikes.

La Huaca Beach is located in the tiny, traffic-free old town, just a few steps away from the small Plaza Castilla. You can experience Palmerian everyday life right on the doorstep - but you won't find the tourist hustle and bustle of the big Canary Islands here.

A beautiful beach promenade, which leads to the newly developed harbour, invites you to take a leisurely stroll or go for a morning jog.

In the area of the marina there is a simple snack bar/café (open air) as well as an inconspicuous but very good fish restaurant called "El Varadero" and at the end of the marina, hidden but with an idyllic wooden plank terrace overlooking the sea, the "Kiosko Adrinere" and "El Balcón del Puerto" with a wonderful view.

Groceries and most everyday necessities are available in the small supermarket around the corner. There is also a pharmacy, an ice-cream parlour and a clothes shop as well as two or three bars serving snacks. There are more restaurants with sea views on the promenade around the corner from La Huaca Beach.

There is an ATM, other shops and the nearest petrol station in Tazacorte Pueblo (5 min.).

Bed linen and towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels or buy them on site...
A hire car is not necessary as many things can be done on foot; the bus stop with approx. 1/2 hourly connections to Los Llanos, but also to the hiking areas of the north-west is within walking distance of the house, but please ask us about the bus and taxi conditions.
