The Wine<\/a> at La Palma<\/a> has always been highly regarded by his travellers in general. A curiosity is that Shakespeare called the Malvacias wines of Tenerife in one of his plays.<\/p>

What makes them special is the fact that their breeding ground is volcanic lava and La Palma is one of the islands with a great difference in altitude, from sea level to the mountains.\"\"<\/a><\/p>

Depending on the season, it is possible to throw snowballs on the rocks of the Boys in the morning and swim in the sea at noon and sunbathe with a good glass of wine from the island.<\/p>

You will be able to observe vineyards rising above a sea of clouds.<\/p>

There are two different production areas in the north of the island of La Palma, one in the northwest and one in the northeast. Both differ in the cultivation and cellar techniques used, as well as in the varieties of grapes grown, the artisanal production methods, etc.<\/p>

In the north-west, which includes the municipalities of Garaf\u00eda, Puntagorda and Tijarafe, it is characterised by steep slopes interrupted by numerous deep \u201eravines\u201c with vineyards, mostly above the clouds, at altitudes of between 1000 and 1500 metres above sea level.<\/p>

Due to this location of the vineyards, the vines thrive better due to the lower incidence of pests and diseases. This is favoured by a climate favourable to vine growing, with sunny days and cool nights, harsh winters and mild summers influenced by trade winds.<\/p>

- WHITE WINES (light-coloured) Made from grapes of the following varieties: List\u00e1n Blanco, Bujariego, Albillo, etc. Aromatic, very pleasant, fresh and light, of great delicacy. Straw yellow colour with greenish nuances of young gold, clean and bright with persistent tears, fruity aromas with spicy touches, dense, fleshy with extract, full and elegant in the mouth.<\/p>

- ROSE WINES (cheerful) Made from varieties including Negramol. Salmon-pink with violet tones with a medium-deep layer, clean and bright, and delicate aromas, fresh with a faint almond flavour. They are cheerful, light and pleasant wines.<\/p>

- RED WINES (personal) Made from the Negramol, Almu\u00f1eco and List\u00e1n Prieto grape varieties, among others, and after a maceration process, they have the following organoleptic characteristics: ruby red in colour with violet tones with an average layer, clean and brilliant, aromas of average intensity with herbal ripeness, in the mouth they are dense, with good structure, fleshy and with a persistent aftertaste.<\/p>

- TEA WINES (artisanal) Made from Negramol, List\u00e1n prieto and Albillo grapes. Tea aged in barrels (Canary pine), which gives it an intense aroma and the typical resinous flavour. They are wines of smooth red layered cherry with tile-like tonalities, with fruit and herbal flavours integrated into a resinous base. Due to their characteristics, they are reminiscent of the Greek \u201eRetzinas\u201c wines.<\/p>

- NATURAL SWEET WINES (incomparable) Produced from varieties such as: Sabro, Gual, Verdello, with Malvasia standing out. They are naturally produced wines, young golden colour with amber tones, clean and brilliant with medium-high intensity, a very pronounced aromatic power, in the mouth it has a good structure with a balanced sweetness with fresh and lively acidity, ample and persistent. Ideal wine and perfect with dessert.<\/p>
