The townhouse Maison La Huaca is located in the car-free, picturesque old town of Puerto de Tazacorte - around 50 metres from the largest sandy beach on the island.

Holidaymakers who like to be safe from the sun, warm, close to the beach and have a little bit of life around them will feel very much at home in Puerto de Tazacorte and in the La Huaca holiday domicile

The townhouse La Huaca was carefully and stylishly renovated for its guests a few years ago and now houses a cosy gem for two people as well as a fully insulated studio on the ground floor.

There are fish and other restaurants just a few metres from the house, all right on the beach with sea views. The long beach promenade invites you to take a relaxing stroll, leading from the village to the harbour itself, where more restaurants are waiting to be discovered. A small, well-stocked supermarket covers your daily needs and there is also a pharmacy.

If you don't want to hire a car, there is a bus stop 5 minutes away with connections to Los Llanos every 1/2 hour, as well as to the hiking areas of the north-west.

The houses in the old town of Puerto de Tazacorte are rather narrow, but generally 1-3 storeys high.

As the stone stairs in the house are narrow and steep, it is not rented to families with children under the age of 12. The house is also not suitable for people with reduced mobility. For all others it is not a problem.

The holiday home Maison La Huaca in Puerto de Tazacorte has the first and second floor (plus roof terrace on the 3rd floor) and offers generous (!) space for two people on approx. 82 square metres of living space.

If you are travelling with three or four people, the Puerto Tazacorte studio is ideal for taking friends or family with you and spending your holiday separately, but still under the same roof. The studio is rented separately.

Protected by the walls of the Angustia Gorge, Puerto de Tazacorte in the Aridane Valley is not only the warmest and sunniest place on the island, but statistically also in the whole of Europe.

It also attracts visitors with its wide, gently sloping sandy beach, which is also ideal for swimming with children.

Most of the year, bathing weather is guaranteed here, so you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea after the day's excursions or hikes.

The house is located in the tiny, traffic-free old town, just a few steps away from the small Plaza Castilla. You can experience Palmerian everyday life right on the doorstep - but you won't find the tourist hustle and bustle of the large Canary Islands here. 

A beautiful beach promenade, which leads to the newly developed harbour, invites you to take a leisurely stroll or go for a morning jog.

In the area of the marina there is a simple snack bar/café (open air) as well as an inconspicuous but very good fish restaurant called "El Varadero" and at the end of the marina, hidden but with an idyllic wooden plank terrace overlooking the sea, the "Kiosko Adrinere" and "El Balcón del Puerto" with a wonderful view.

Groceries and most everyday necessities are available in the small supermarket around the corner. There is also a pharmacy, an ice-cream parlour and a clothes shop as well as two or three bars serving snacks. The large restaurants with sea views start at the end of the alley where La Huaca is located.

The bus stop is within easy walking distance. There is an ATM and other shopping facilities in the main town of "Villa de Tazacorte", a 6-minute drive away.

From the house entrance, a narrow stone staircase leads to the first floor, where the spacious bedroom is located.

You can choose between a double bed or two single beds - the bed can be transformed with a flick of the wrist. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom with shower, washbasin, bidet and WC. A washing machine is available in another room. 

One floor up is the open-plan living area with comfortable leather seating and beautiful real wood furniture. SAT-TV and a DVD player are available, Internet WLAN is available throughout the house.

The glazed ceiling allows a lot of light into the room, which emphasises the spacious, airy feel. There is air conditioning, but it is rarely needed as the interior is almost always at a pleasant temperature due to the typical local construction.

A dining table for four people is set off slightly by a projection in the wall. The separate kitchen behind it is fully equipped, including a dishwasher. From the kitchen, you enter a narrow balcony with a side view of the sea - the place of choice for smokers, as smoking is not permitted inside the house.

The roof terrace is on the 3rd floor.

It offers a view of the Caldera de Taburiente, the mountain massif in the centre of the island. There are two sun loungers on the terrace, as well as a table and chairs for four people. A small outdoor kitchen with an electric barbecue and an outdoor shower invite you to enjoy life in the open air.

A rental car is not absolutely necessary. Please ask us for the bus and taxi conditions.

Bed linen and towels are available in the accommodation, please bring your own beach towels or buy them locally in the beach shop around the corner...
