Once a small village school in the idyllic village of Aguatavar, Tijarafe, this charming holiday home has been renovated by its owners with great attention to detail and transformed into a unique holiday paradise. The stylish furnishings and harmonious ambience allow you to immerse yourself in times gone by, while modern amenities ensure maximum comfort. The glazed entrance area acts as a small conservatory, bringing additional light and cosy warmth into the house.

To the house:

The Antigua Escuela extends over two floors. On the upper floor, you will find a spacious kitchen and an inviting living and dining room with a fireplace, sofa, reading armchairs and a flat-screen TV. From the dining table you can enjoy a marvellous view of the sea. On this level you will also find a bathroom with a shower tray, WC and bidet. An elegant spiral staircase leads to the lower level, where there is another living and reading area and a bedroom. Here, too, there is a television and an electric heater for cooler days.

The charming holiday home also offers a small garden with two romantic seating areas and barbecue facilities - ideal for relaxing evenings outdoors.
Please note, that due to the steep stairs to the house and the spiral staircase inside, the accommodation is not suitable for families with children (under 12) and people with reduced mobility.

Surroundings / Distances:

Nearby is the restaurant "La Muralla", which can be reached in a few minutes by car or around 15 minutes on foot. The neighbouring towns of Puntagorda and Tijarafe offer a variety of shops, restaurants and a farmers' market with fresh produce from local farmers and smallholders. They can each be reached in 8-12 minutes by car. The car park at the beach "Playa de la Veta" is about 15 minutes away by car; from there it is another 25 minutes on foot. The walk is quite strenuous for the inexperienced, especially when the sun is blazing, but it is well worth the effort. Playa La veta is like a little hidden paradise by the sea, with small houses and 'caves' and, as a special feature, with great vegetation that is unusual for such locations (large shady rubber trees, flowering shrubs, etc.) The small beach is a sandy beach, but not every year or at all times. Don't be disappointed if you catch a moment when only stones/pebbles form the beach bed because the sea has eroded the sand. And take food and drinks with you, as there is no vending stand.
The large sandy beach of Puerto de Tazacorte is around 25 minutes away.
