Casa Alegria

Casa Alegria opened its doors to holidaymakers in 2024 after 2 years of construction and design and is correspondingly new, modern and comfortably equipped/furnished. It is located together with the equally new Casa Afuera on the centre west coast of La Palma, in La Punta. You can find out more about the location below. This holiday home for two offers peace and relaxation surrounded by greenery. The bedroom, lounge, terrace and garden allow you to enjoy a particularly beautiful sea view of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding coastline.

The house, which despite its modern construction has the typical high Canarian wooden gabled ceilings, offers approx. 65 sqm of living space for 2 guests and is equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. It is divided into a large living room with an open-plan integrated kitchen and room-dividing dining bar, a sea-view bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe and a modern bathroom with a walk-in rainforest shower, washbasin and WC.
The many small and large windows and panoramic doors in all directions (!) allow plenty of light into the house.

The current for the Casa Alegria - The hot water - also for the hot tub - is sustainably generated all year round by a solar system due to the sun-drenched location. This is, of course, out of sight of the holiday guests

Im outdoors await you:
♥ A partly open, partly covered terrace with dining table, comfortable chairs and additional lounge chairs directly in front of the house
♥ our own garden, which is busy growing and thriving and already forms a wonderful duet of bright colours and exotic scents; in the middle of it all is a terrace with sun loungers
♥ the self-built hot tub with stunning sea views for romantic & relaxing hours for two
♥ Last but not least: a perfect connection to the hiking network, as the property borders on the large GR136 circular hiking trail, which leads to the highest point of the island at Roque de los Muchachos, among other places, but also down to the sandy beach of Tazacorte

Behind the house is an annexe where you will find the washing machine for your exclusive use.
The neighbouring holiday home Casa Afuera is within sight, but built in such a way that both houses enjoy good privacy in all outdoor areas. For example, the neighbouring terrace is not visible, and the pool (Afuera) and hot tub (Alegría) are completely separate.
Each house has a total of around 500 square metres of its own private garden area.
The Dutch landlords, who also speak German and English, have their house at the very end of the long property. They are there for you on request or if required, but otherwise stay in the background, which goes without saying! 🙂

Location:
La Punta is the first 'place' that officially belongs to the north-west and is part of the municipality of Tijarafe, but from a climatic point of view it belongs to Tazacorte. Due to this year-round warm and sunny climate, the lower parts of the coast are home to banana plantations, for example.
The house itself is located slightly above the LP1 country road, which can be neither hears nor sees! Dhat we say after seeing it for ourselves.

The good thing is that you are still within walking distance of the small town centre of La Punta, which has a supermarket (Coopertiva), a German bakery par excellence, a corner shop, various bars and a local restaurant (simple, but fresh fish dishes every day for a small price). The nearest medical centre is in Tijarafe or Los Llanos, which is not much different. The nearest sandy beach and petrol station are a 10-minute drive away in Puerto de Tazacorte and the petrol station is in Pueblo de Tazacorte.
