Casa El Retiro

Casa El Retiro is a small holiday home with three bedrooms that could hardly be more rustic and quirky, but has many fans and regular guests for this very reason. Almost all the walls are wood-panelled, the ceilings are not high and the decoration has a very rural feel. Nevertheless, guests will find everything they need on holiday here.
The Canarian country house is ideal for two adults or for parents with one or two children up to the age of 12. There are 3 bedrooms, including a normal bedroom with a double bed, a connecting room with a double bed and a room with a bunk bed, which is not acoustically separated from the other. There is also a room with a bunk bed, which is not acoustically separated from the other. 

The appeal of the holiday accommodation lies in its large outdoor area: it's not just the secluded pergola-covered walkways that lead from the house down to the pool and from which grapes hang, among other things, that are special. Large bottle palms and colourful flowers and shrubs line the pool area, which is designed for spending lots of time playing and having fun outdoors. The pool measures approx. 8 x 3 metres and has a depth of 1.60 - 1.80 metres.
There is a table tennis table and all kinds of other games. There is also a large, panoramic glassed-in barbecue veranda / chill-out area with comfortable sofas, XXL flatscreen TV, dining area, barbecue, wine, outdoor kitchen... In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset over the sea and the evening atmosphere as the sky changes colour from the various seating and lounging areas. When it's dark, the well-distributed outdoor lighting creates a cosy atmosphere and makes it safe to walk around.

Location:

El Jesús is located in the municipality of Tijarafe, in the north-west centre of the island. The coastal area where Casa El Retiro is located is known for its good climate all year round. El Jesús itself does not have a proper town centre. You can find one in Tijarafe, which is not far from the house and a little higher up and is ambitiously located in the centre. developed. A second museum is under construction, the road layout is being changed to straighten some bends, there is a new skate park for young people and much more:

2 supermarkets, a very good bakery at the school (somewhat hidden), a new market square (Mercadillo), a few bars, a pharmacy, a health food shop, a pizzeria and the ever-popular kiosk (food outlet) with its two parrots, which never fail to delight tourists.

A new attraction, the Mirador del Universo, a tribute to the famous local mosaic artist Luis Morrera, is located just 5 kilometres above Casa El Retiro and should definitely be visited. In addition, the GR130 long-distance hiking trail, which leads around the entire island, passes just 1.4 km away (Eremita de El Buen Jesús) and offers the opportunity to set off directly from the house through marvellous landscapes.
