Holiday cottage Los Pinos

Los Pinos is a small natural stone house for two within walking distance of the popular Mercadillo Puntagorda.

A rental car is recommended, even though you can reach the beautiful village centre of Puntagorda on foot and thus be independent of the car during your holiday as far as bar and restaurant visits are concerned.

Hiking trails start right on the doorstep & lead for many kilometres through the fantastically beautiful area.

The house is not very large, with one bedroom, an en suite bathroom and a combined living/dining area and kitchen of just under 60 square metres, but the arrangement of the rooms and the beautiful outdoor area, which serves as additional 'living space' for almost most of the year, create a pleasantly generous feeling of space. 

Los Pinos takes its name from the lovely, partly very old pine trees (Canarian pine) scattered around the garden, which blend seamlessly into the surroundings.
The place is a perfect natural setting and a fantastic holiday destination for those who want to enjoy peace and quiet and healthy air in the midst of an authentic landscape.
"It's actually impossible not to switch off here!" a guest once said to me,...and that explains everything!

Otherwise, the Los Pinos holiday home is characterised by good internet reception, a very comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen cupboards. The modern shower is also part of the relaxation.

The garden offers various terraces and seating areas, places to sunbathe, a place to barbecue and a modern small pool with a fun look and great sea views.

Just 400 metres above the property is the "Mercadillo", Puntagorda's weekly market, which is popular with locals and holidaymakers alike at weekends.
Housed in an architecturally interesting building, the local traders/farmers not only tempt you with the tastiest fruit and vegetables on the island (really!), but also with fresh pastries and baked goods (e.g. cakes, wholemeal products), spices, Palmerian specialities such as banana liqueur or goat's cheese. There are also stalls with great handicrafts made from local materials, from leather to wood, from recycled PVC to wire.
In short: people like to spend a few hours here on weekends, music is often played on the forecourt and the queue at the guarapo stand, the popular drink made from sugar cane, fruit and optionally schnapps, is a must for all connoisseurs and those who want to become one.

From the Los Pinos holiday home, the path leads uphill on foot, past tall pines and fragrant orange trees and although it really isn't that far, you can't hear the hustle and bustle of the market on your own property.
