Then the carnival weeks begin with the big day in Santa Cruz de la Palma, with the Day of the Indianos, a festival that parodies the arrival of the Canarian emigrants to the island of Cuba.
In April it is the holy week, in which, besides the recreation of this little spring break, many processions take place, giving the dates a cultural aspect.
In May, the streets are decorated with flower carpets during the Catholic festival of the Corpus de Cristie.
When summer comes, it is the time of San Antonio del Monte in Garafia, where the farmers bring their animals to be blessed by San Antonio, and many inhabitants of the island camp near the church. It continues with the San Juan bonfires and several "romerias" with people in their traditional costumes and distributing food in floats.
