In the following we present you some simple possibilities, with whose help your journey to La Palma does not have to stand in the conflict with the advancing climate change and besides opens an increase in value for the palmerische population.
We invite you to take 2-3 minutes of reading time and maybe a tip or two will stick in your memory.
CO2 compensation for your flight
Climate change affects all countries and regions equally, including La Palma. Transport and flights are a relatively large part of the burden, because the engine uses fossil fuels, which are not only promoted by environmental and habitat-destroying interventions, but are also released into the atmosphere during the transport process. Now one could simply say that one no longer flies. But there are also important social components that speak in favour of tourism and travel, because on many islands and in many regions of the world tourism is the main source of income for the local people/inhabitants, without which the living standard of their families would be low to very low. It is therefore necessary to find a balance, a compromise that is fair to both the environment and the people. A counterweight to the burden on the one hand, is the relief on the other hand. This is possible by converting CO2 into O2, i.e. oxygen, and plants perform this task. Reforestation or the prevention of deforestation is therefore an adequate means of reducing the CO2 content in the air. This is where we can make a joint contribution to CO2 compensation, which is channelled into global tree planting projects, among other things, by appropriately certified suppliers. Compensate your flights with us and thereby reduce your ecological footprint! For all our future!
Plastic avoidance & waste separation on the island
CO2 offsetting is one way to move more sustainably, but as we all know, in addition to the challenges in transport, there is another, oversized problem: the amount of plastic waste and the difficulty of dissolving plastic. The issues involved are from the catastrophic environmental pollution caused by plastic waste in waters and on coasts or on huge rubbish dumps mainly regions and places which are very far away from us. Nevertheless, we cannot ignore the problem and we can often make a contribution in a very simple way, even on holiday, so that our children & grandchildren can still travel to places that are so beautiful and untouched by destruction, such as La Palma.
Key points: buy at the market, freggies, glass instead of plastic bottles, waste separation: see picture on the right.

"Support your local dealer" Buy and enjoy regionally!
We are very pleased that you are still reading and have not jumped off the subject. 😉 We really appreciate it! Last but not least, we would like to take a brief look at the value be received, in terms of sustainability regionally to buy and enjoy.
Why not go to the local supermarket instead of going to Lidl or Spar? The local chain Hiperdino, but also numerous smaller shops are well equipped and usually offer everything you could need on holiday as self-catering.
The advantage in terms of sustainable action is clear/simple: it includes shorter transport distances and the support of local farmers and/or winegrowers by offering their regionally produced products. Of course Lidl and Spar also offer jobs to local people, so shopping there does not have to be in total conflict with conscious action.
