Finca Ana - Casa Bodega

Casa Bodega is situated undisturbed on the south-western edge of the finca, with only the expanse of the valley in front of you, with the large water pool and the wide Atlantic Ocean, over which you can enjoy beautiful sunsets in clear weather, and behind you the tropical garden with the new communal pool of 6 x 4 m, heated in the winter months. 

The landlady, who also has her house further up on the finca, lovingly and lavishly cares for the huge garden and has conjured up a small oasis of refreshment from the former tank. Although the pool is not suitable for swimming lanes, it is a new little highlight and the guests thank her when the temperatures are high in summer and they can now throw themselves into the cold water directly at the holiday home.

What is special about Casa Bodega is a traditional construction method in which one went from room to room across the courtyard. In this case, there are two houses, one made of thick natural stones, one plastered in sunny yellow. In this one is the elongated kitchen-living room, bright and with a view of the sea and the terrace. In the other, there is a bedroom/living room and a shower room. A washing machine for common use is located further up the finca.

There are no direct neighbours around the finca. It is reached via a longer paved driveway.
The centre of Las Manchas de Abajo is about 1.5 km away and offers the first sight - the Plaza La Glorieta, designed by the famous Palmerian artist Luis Morrera. A pretty round square, the floor of which is decorated with his mosaic art.
Above the plaza is the wine museum and a corner shop with fresh fruit and vegetables as well as bread/rolls and a small selection of groceries (milk, wine, water). There is also a restaurant a few metres from the plaza: El Secadero, which is known for fresh meat specialities and otherwise offers rustic Canarian cuisine. If you drive up the Secadero, you will come to the Canos del Fuego Volcano Visitor Centre, which offers guided tours of the lava caves, among other things. 

The nearest beach, the palm-fringed sandy beach of Puerto Naos, is just under 6km (12min drive). However, Puerto Naos is currently closed due to rising gases from the volcano, so the nearest beach is Charco Verde beach, 2km from Puerto Naos, with a snack bar, or Puerto de Tazacorte beach. The nearest large supermarket is in Los Llanos (Hiperdino, Spar, Lidl).

You can start hiking directly from the finca. Through various paths / hiking trails you can get to Puerto Naos as well as in the mountains. A largely unknown, but very pleasant and interesting way leads over old water galleries through the countryside. The nice thing is that it mainly goes straight ahead.
